Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Parlecto, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Parlecto provides AI-powered Q&A and narration for user-uploaded books and documents. We do not host or distribute books. Users provide their own content.

You must provide a valid email. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One account per person.

• You confirm that you own or have a valid license for any book you upload.
• By uploading, you grant Parlecto a limited, non-exclusive right to process the content (parse, embed, analyze) solely to provide the service to you.
• Parlecto deletes your uploaded source file after processing. Only derived text chunks, embeddings, and metadata are retained, scoped to your account under row-level security.
• Parlecto is not responsible for unauthorized uploads. If you upload content you do not have rights to, you accept full responsibility.
• If you are a copyright holder and believe content has been uploaded without authorization, contact hello@parlecto.com.

• Free tier: no payment required, subject to usage limits.
• Pro ($9.90/month) and Premium ($29.90/month): billed monthly via Stripe.
• Cancel anytime from your profile. Service continues until the end of the current billing period.
• No refunds for partial months.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice via email to registered users.

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer the service or its models
• Use Parlecto to infringe copyright or other rights
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the service
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or tier restrictions
• Resell access to the service

Q&A answers and narration are generated by AI. While grounded in your uploaded text, they may contain errors. Parlecto does not guarantee accuracy. Do not rely on AI-generated content for legal, medical, or financial decisions.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parlecto's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@parlecto.com.

These terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with that jurisdiction's rules.
